AI-review & compliance

To keep AI-generated content accountable, Buzzator requires a human to review an AI post before it can be scheduled. This page explains the review gate, who can bypass it, and the AI-disclosure labels that travel with a post.

The review gate

A post that is AI-generated and not yet human-reviewed cannot be moved to Scheduled. If you try, Buzzator refuses with a clear message:

AI-generated posts must be reviewed before scheduling. Send the post through review, or ask an owner/admin to approve.

The gate applies only to AI-generated posts that haven't been reviewed. Posts you wrote yourself, and AI posts that have already been reviewed, schedule normally.

Who can approve

Owners and admins hold the can_bypass_ai_review permission, which lets them self-approve an AI post. Approving:

  • marks the post human-reviewed, which clears the scheduling gate, and
  • records an approval in the post's activity log, with the approver's name — so there's always an audit trail of who signed off.

Editors: route drafts through review

An editor can create and edit AI drafts but can't self-approve them for scheduling. Send the draft through your team's review, or ask an owner or admin to approve it. See Roles, permissions & brand access.

AI-disclosure labels

Separately from the review gate, posts carry AI-provenance information where it's relevant — a "Made with AI" indicator and an AI-disclosure flag used to meet EU AI-transparency expectations. These labels stay with the post so the right disclosure can accompany AI-generated content. Approving a post for scheduling doesn't remove its disclosure status — review and disclosure are two independent things.
