LinkedIn¶
Buzzator publishes to both personal LinkedIn profiles and Company Pages. You can connect several Pages you administer — each becomes its own account you can post to — alongside your personal profile. This page covers the caption and media rules, and the one thing about LinkedIn "carousels" that trips people up.
Formats and limits¶
| Setting | Limit |
|---|---|
| Caption | Up to 3,000 characters |
| Hashtags | Up to 10 |
| Formats | Single post, document carousel |
| Document carousel | Up to 9 pages |
| Video | Up to ~5 GB, up to 10 minutes, MP4 only |
| Alt text | Supported on images (not video) |
| Publishing rate | About 100 posts per day |
A LinkedIn "carousel" is a PDF document¶
This is the big one. On LinkedIn, a carousel is not a swipe-through strip of images the way it is on Instagram — it's a document that readers page through, backed by a PDF.
Carousel = document, not image strip
When you build a LinkedIn carousel, Buzzator bundles your images into a single multi-page PDF and posts it as a document. LinkedIn renders that as a page-through carousel in the feed. The limit is 9 pages (one image per page), not the 10-slide image carousel you may know from Instagram.
If the document upload can't complete, Buzzator falls back to posting your images as a standard multi-image post so the content still ships.
Video¶
- Up to about 5 GB, up to 10 minutes.
- MP4 only — other video formats aren't accepted.
- At most one video per post.
You can't mix media types in one post
A single LinkedIn post is either images-only, one video, or one document carousel — never a mix. If you attach an image and a video together, the post is rejected before it's sent.
Company Pages¶
Posting as a Company Page differs from a personal profile in a few ways:
- The post is authored as the organization, not as you.
- Page posts are public only — the "connections only" and "logged-in members" audiences apply to personal posts, not Pages.
- Each Page you administer connects as its own account.
Everything else — caption length, hashtags, images, video, and the document carousel — works the same as on a personal profile.
Post options¶
- Visibility (personal profiles) — publish to everyone (public), your connections only, or logged-in LinkedIn members. Company Page posts are always public.
- Disable resharing — turn off the reshare button so others can't repost your update.
- First comment — Buzzator can auto-post a first comment right after the post goes live, a common place to drop links.
