Connecting your social accounts

Before Buzzator can publish for you, you connect the social accounts you want to post to. Connections live on the Connections page and are scoped to the brand you're currently working in — each brand has its own set of connected accounts.

Opening the Connections page

Go to Connections. The page has two sections:

  • Social accounts — the networks Buzzator publishes to (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, and more).
  • Apps & tools — supporting integrations for your brand.

The heading names the brand these connections belong to. To connect accounts for a different brand, switch brands from the top bar first, then return here.

Note

Connecting, reconnecting, and disconnecting accounts require an owner or admin role on the brand. If you don't have permission, ask a teammate who does — see Roles, permissions & brand access.

Connecting an account

Each network shows as a card. Find the one you want and click Connect. Buzzator sends you to that platform to sign in and approve access, then returns you to the Connections page. A connected card shows Connected as your account name.

Tip

Not sure what a network supports before connecting it? Each card has an info button that lists what Buzzator can and can't do on that platform. The full breakdown is on the Platform capabilities page.

Choosing a Page (Facebook & LinkedIn)

Facebook and LinkedIn post on behalf of a Page, not your personal profile. After you approve access:

  • Facebook — if you manage more than one Page, Buzzator shows a picker with each Page's picture and your role on it (Admin or Content creator). Pick the Page you want to post as.
  • LinkedIn — if you administer more than one Company Page, you pick which one to connect (each is shown with its name and linkedin.com/company/... URL).

If you only have one eligible Page, Buzzator selects it automatically and skips the picker. To manage several Pages, connect each one.

Reconnecting an account

Platform access can expire — a network may require you to re-approve after a while. When that happens, the account's card shows an expired state instead of the usual "Connected as" line, and posting to it will fail until you fix it.

To restore it, click the account and reconnect — you'll go through the same approve-access flow as a first-time connect. Your existing settings and history are kept; only the access is refreshed.

Note

Occasionally a card asks you to reconnect to unlock new features. This appears when a network added a capability that needs a permission your original connection didn't grant. Reconnecting adds the new permission without losing any data — it's optional unless you want the new feature.

Disconnecting an account

To stop Buzzator from posting to an account, open its card and choose Disconnect. This removes the connection for the current brand. You can reconnect it again at any time.

Security

Buzzator stores every account's access credentials encrypted. Short-lived access is refreshed automatically where a platform allows it, which is why you occasionally see the reconnect prompt above. Credentials are never exposed in the app.

Once at least one account is connected, you're ready to publish — see How publishing works or jump straight to your first post.
