Editing images¶
Any still image you attach to a post — or store in your library — can be edited without leaving Buzzator. Open an image's Edit menu to pick one of three flows. Every one of them is non-destructive: your original file stays untouched.
The three edit flows¶

The Edit menu shows on still images that are already saved (freshly uploaded local files and videos don't offer it until they're stored).
The built-in editor¶
Open in editor launches a full editor with these tools:
- Crop — reframe and set aspect.
- Finetune — brightness, contrast, saturation, and other adjustments.
- Filter — one-tap looks.
- Annotate — add text, draw with the sharpie, and place shapes (lines, arrows, rectangles, ellipses).
- Sticker — drop from a curated emoji set.
- Fill, Redact (black out sensitive areas), Frame, and Resize.
- Insert image — bring in another picture from your device or your Media Library and place it on the canvas.
Select Done to apply your edits, or close the editor to discard them (you'll be asked to confirm if you've made changes).
The editor follows your app settings
The editor's interface appears in your app language and matches your light or dark theme.
Non-destructive by design¶
When you edit an attached image in the composer, saving produces a new image in your Media Library and swaps it into the post. Your original blob is never deleted, so you can always go back to it.
A few details worth knowing:
- File type is preserved — a JPEG stays a JPEG, a PNG stays a PNG. (Some formats, like GIF or SVG, are saved as a new PNG.)
- Brand logos stay separate — if your image carries a brand-logo overlay, the editor bakes the logo into what everyone sees while keeping a clean, logo-free copy underneath, so the logo remains repositionable next time.
Editing straight from the library
When you edit an image directly in the Media Library rather than from a post, you're offered a choice at save time: Save a copy (the non-destructive default) or Replace original. Replacing overwrites the file in place — any draft or scheduled post that references it will then show the edited version.
