Slack

Buzzator posts to Slack through a bot you add to your workspace. You choose one or more channels to post to, send text and images (rendered with Slack's Block Kit) plus native video uploads, handle bot DMs and thread replies in the Inbox, and see engagement-only analytics.

Connecting Slack

Connect Slack from Connections → Social accounts (see Connecting your social accounts). One OAuth grant adds the Buzzator bot to your workspace and covers publishing, channel listing, the Inbox, and analytics — a workspace admin never has to re-approve later.

Choosing channels

In the per-platform settings, pick the channels to post to from the checkbox list. All channels selects every channel the bot can see.

Each channel is a separate post

Every selected channel is published and tracked separately. Picking three channels creates three posts you can follow independently in Posts Hub.

Invite the bot to private channels

A private channel only appears in the list after you've added the bot to it. In Slack, type /invite @Buzzator in the channel, then hit Refresh in the picker.

Images or video, not both

A single Slack message carries either images or one video — not a mix. Slack has no Block Kit video embed, so video is shared as a native file upload. Text-only messages are allowed.

You can also override the bot's display name and avatar per post so the message posts under your brand's identity.

Inbox

Slack's Inbox covers two surfaces:

  • Bot DMs — direct messages sent to the Buzzator bot appear in the unified Inbox. (A bot can only see DMs sent to itself — it can't read other users' DMs.)
  • Channel-thread replies — reply in the thread under a message Buzzator posted, from the Engage view for that post.

Analytics

Slack analytics are engagement-only: Reactions (emoji reactions) and Replies (thread reply counts). Slack's bot-token API has no reach or impressions data, so those aren't reported. See What each platform reports.
