Per-platform post settings¶
When you select platforms in the composer, each one gets its own Platform Settings panel. This is where you set the format, image shape, and other per-network options — so the same idea publishes correctly whether it's an Instagram carousel, a LinkedIn document, or an X thread.
Opening the panel¶
Every selected platform appears as a chip under Platform Settings. Select a chip to open that platform's panel. The options shown are gated by what the platform supports and by which composer you're in — the AI Composer and Manual Composer surface different controls (for example, the carousel slide-count picker only appears in AI mode).
Format¶
Format sets how the post is structured. The available formats depend on the platform:

In the AI Composer
The AI Composer generates still images, so a couple of format options change. Reel is disabled (it needs a video — switch to the Manual Composer to upload one), and TikTok's Video Post chip is hidden, leaving Photo Post.
Carousel slides¶
For a carousel, choose how many slides to generate. Each platform caps the count differently — the picker enforces that platform's maximum:

Threads, X, and Bluesky build multi-part posts as threads rather than carousels (see below). For each platform's exact media limits, see Platform capabilities and its own page.
Threads¶
On X, Threads, and Bluesky, pick Single or Thread. For a thread, set the number of posts (up to 25) and choose Images in thread — None, First only, All posts, or let the AI decide.
Aspect ratio¶
The Aspect Ratio chip sets the shape of the generated image, which drives the AI's image aspect:
- Instagram — Square, Portrait, or Landscape.
- Pinterest — Portrait or Square.
- Most platforms — Landscape, Square, or Portrait.
Some shapes are fixed by the platform: Instagram and Facebook Story and Reel are locked to vertical 9:16, and TikTok recommends 9:16 (its API accepts anything from 1:3 to 3:1).
Tip
Aspect ratio drives image generation in the AI Composer. In the Manual Composer your uploaded media already has its own shape, so the aspect chip is hidden for most platforms.
Text-only posts¶
Turn on Text-only post to skip the image entirely and publish the caption on its own. It's available on platforms that don't require media — Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, X, Telegram, Discord, Google Business Profile, WordPress, and Tumblr — and not in thread format. Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok always need an image, so they don't offer it.
In the AI Composer, if every selected platform is set to text-only, Buzzator skips image generation for the whole post.
