Platform capabilities
Buzzator publishes to a dozen social networks, and each one has its own rules — caption length, how many images fit in a post, whether video is allowed, and more. This page is the at-a-glance reference: what every supported platform can do, and where the hard limits sit. For the detail on any one network, follow its link.
Buzzator enforces these limits for you. If a caption runs long or you attach one image too many, the Composer flags it before you publish, so you rarely hit a platform's raw error.

The numbers above are maximum characters. Buzzator truncates a caption that exceeds the platform's limit rather than letting the publish fail, but it's better to write to the limit yourself.
A standard X account caps at 280 characters. Buzzator detects your X Premium tier when you connect and raises the ceiling to 4,000 (Premium) or 25,000 (Premium+). See X (Twitter).
Media is required on some platforms
A few networks reject a post that has no image or video attached. Buzzator blocks you from scheduling a text-only post to these:

Everywhere else you can publish text on its own — Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads, Bluesky, Slack, and Twitch all accept a caption with no media.
One video per post — and the "images or video" rule
Several platforms allow only a single video per post, and some won't let you mix images and a video in the same post:
- X, Slack, and Pinterest take either images or one video — never both in one post.
- Threads, Bluesky, and YouTube take at most one video per post.
- LinkedIn can't mix media types at all: a post is images-only, one video, or one document carousel.
Instagram carousels are the exception — they can hold a mix of images and video children. Facebook multi-photo posts are images-only: a video attached alongside photos is dropped.
